Tasked with the fit out of Flutterbyes’s brand new Christmas
popup shop in Bluewater, W&Co installed temporary signage and graphics to
create big impact for low cost and short term use.
Using the same style of custom signage design installed at
the Lakeside store, the Flutterbyes fascia sign was hung in the store window
and suspended from the ceiling as a temporary solution, but also allowing the
sign to be reused permanently at a later date. Built-up 3D halo illuminated
letters were mounted to a vinyl decorated sign tray.
Vinyl graphics were applied to the external panels on the
side of the store, while cut vinyl Christmas slogans were applied throughout
the interior. To maintain a strong brand identity, Flutterbyes utilised the
same colour palette and style of decor used in existing stores, while exchanging
their trademark butterfly motifs for snowflakes and baubles to suit the Christmas
theme of the popup store.
Subtle snowflake-shaped window manifestations were produced
from cut frosted vinyl and applied the glass to complement the range of
products in the window as well as the fascia signage.
Using self-adhesive vinyl throughout the store was ideal for
Flutterbyes’s temporary space as they were able to achieve the desired effect
while having the advantage of being able to easily remove the graphics after
Christmas. All the self adhesive vinyl and digital wallpaper was produced
in-house utilising W&Co’s new large format latex printer.
For this project W&Co produced a number of digital 3D
renders and worked closely with the client to establish a clear and concise
understanding of all their requirements and furthermore enabling them to have
their designs approved by the Bluewater centre management prior to installation
which took place on site out of hours to meet their Saturday store opening
deadline.
